Chairs, formed in 1991, is the design team of Tim Chitty and Simon Bacon. The fiery imagination, love for furniture and fabric, and the engineering and fine arts training of Tim and Simon respectively, have resulted in a wide ranging series of Special Commissions for Chairs by galleries and museums and celebrities such as Sir Terence Conran and Luciano Pavarotti. Medusa and Hecate are two chairs from the Limited Edition series by Chairs.

Studio Line has unveiled a new range of state-of -art pieces, called CHAIRS. These exclusive designer pieces are all born out of a love for the theatrical and the fantastic, evident in its fabric and detail, and the language of its colour, form and gesture. CHAIRS have been involved in a wide ranging series of special commissions, such as for galleries and museums and for special presentations. The 'Actions Japan' chair for example, was presented to the British Embassy in Japan by Sir Terence Conran.
